Week in Review...May 26, 2018

Playdate at the park with Carrie and Austin and Ethan, the weather has been really nice lately. We are soaking it up!
Abby doing a back bend out of no where!
All the school projects came home this week...
Haley cut this flower out of an apple...
Ashlyn decided to graduate from 6th grade! It was a cute The Greatest Showman theme and they sang a cute song. Can't believe that she's done with Elementary School!

Carrie and I had a playdate at a friend of ours house, they have this cute playground in their backyard...
I got to snuggle with her new baby..
School's out for the summer!! So we decided to swim at Carrie's pool to celebrate!
Carpool kids for the year with their end of the year projects, it was a great carpool!
We went to swim today because the pools are open! Abby came home and decided to go boogie boarding in our kitchen! hahahahaha! Too funny!! Of course her babies had to join her for the ride!!
Big news of the week-Haley got her first job!! After interviewing at over 10 different places she finally got a job! The GM said that he normally doesn't hire 16 yr olds, but he thought she would fit in really well. It's a place at the Mall called Charlie's Philly Cheesesteak. Super proud of her! She called every business that she applied to, and that's how she got so many interviews! She was very persistent! We are excited for her and everything that she will learn at her new job!
I'm also on the look out for a job for next year-I've been hired on at the kids Elementary school as a Substitute Aide, but I'm looking for something with more consistent hours. I went down to the HR department to get processed and also took a Clerical Test because I've applied for a couple of clerk positions at the Middle School that Ashlyn will be going to, so I'm really hoping for that job or to be an aide in a preschool again. I'm still debating on going back to school for my teaching certificate. It just doesn't feel right at this time, so we will see what the future holds!

Week in Review.-May 20, 2018

A parent in Jacobs class sent me these pics of Jacob at the Grand Canyon from a few weeks ago...

My model brother Randy looking Suave....

Jacob and Ashlyn had their last Orchestra Concert on Tuesday, they both did great!

Ashlyn had graduation photos taken, so cute!
Abby's last day of Preschool, she has grown so much this year! Still just as shy, but amazingly she was able to leave me 2 times a week for 2 1/2 hours! I really didn't think that she would be able to do that, but miracles do happen! Now, we need to prepare for kindergarten and hope that she can survive the long days. Hoping for more miracles to happen...
Her last day of preschool they had otter pops under the trampoline...
Ashlyn made a sarcophagus at school, turned out really good!
I made a Dr Pepper Cherry cake, it was so dang delicious!!!

I also made this dairy free chicken alfredo which was amazingly delicious! This never happens, so it was big news! haha!
Abby had a graduation program for preschool which she promised that she would participate in, but when we got there she was clinging to me and absolutely refused. So far she has refused doing all things in front of parents, so this will be interesting to see what happens in Kindergarten. Kindergarten at her school has lots of parent programs throughout the year, so we will see if she will be sitting those out, or participating...

She was all smiles after the program...

Then the next day all that she wanted to do was play preschool...here she is teaching her panda bear:)
I found these metal stools at Goodwill and had to grab them even though they were the wrong color....
I just spray painted them and made them the right color:)
Jacob and Ashlyn both had their soccer tournaments on Saturday. It was a hot day! Jacob ended up winning the 3-4th grade tournament! It came down to overtime and then penalty kicks! It was quite the exciting game! Way to go Jacob!

Week in Review...

On Wednesday night the Laurels went around putting sweet notes and cute chalk notes on all of the other young womens homes. What a sweet service! They also included some older people in the ward as well...this is what we got at our house for Ashlyn..
Jacob had a pack meeting and received his Webelo rank and should've also earned his Arrow of Light, but there was a miscommunication so that will be next....on to boy scouts in the fall!
The weather cooled down enough that Carrie and I met up at the park a few days this week. I got this new picnic blanket at Costco and the kids thought it was amazing! At first Ethan thought it was too nice to lay on....hahahaha!
Then they were fighting over this chair that I brought for Carrie! Oh boy!!
Another shot of Jacob! I forgot to mention that Jacob went to the Grand Canyon last week with his 4th grade class. He left at 6 a.m. and then got home at 11:40 pm! It was a long day but he had lots of fun, he is growing up!
I had a wonderful Mothers Day today! The kids and Rick spoiled me! They made me breakfast and dinner! I got homemade presents from all of the kids and a balloon! I even got to spend the 3rd hour in Relief Society while the Young Men took over Primary! It was a great day, I'm so lucky to be a mother and to have a wonderful mother as an example to me. All that I am, is because of her example to me:) Love you momma!

Rick gave a talk today on Mothers in the gospel, he did a great job! He even teared up at the end when he was gushing about his love for me! Aw, what a sweet guy! Love you!

Week in Review...

This morning Rick took Ashlyn out kayaking, they had a blast! Ashlyn loves being out on the water!
There she is! What a great paddler she has become!

This week the school teachers were on strike so we had lots of playtime at home. Abby still had preschool though, so luckily the day was beautiful and cool so we had a park playdate...

While Carrie was doing Activity Days we got to watch Ethan and Austin, Austin was laughing and giggling when we gave him chicken nuggets! Apparently he had never had them before and was eating them as fast as he could! Such a good little eater!
Rick is in charge of the bulletin board for our ward, so I made these little ties that say Viewpoint Ward....
My dad found out that he has skin cancer on his head, so Randy and Garron gave him his first ever blessing on Thursday night in preparation for surgery on Friday. Such handsome men...
Dads surgery went great, he was out in a little over 20 minutes! Everything came back clear! Fasting and prayer really work, so grateful that my daddy is doing good. Love you! Here he is enjoying Caspers with my mom after surgery. It was good to see him smiling!
