Week in Review...

Last week Jacob looked so handsome!! Of course he took the vest off as soon as we got to church:(
We went for a walk last Sunday night and found this very wide rainbow! Pretty cool!
We were driving by our neighbors house this last week and found this in their garage window! Unfortunately this little terror ruined their blinds and a Christmas present! Traps have been set....
My little sweetie pie!
I got released as the Compassionate Service leader, wahoo!! Just kidding. It was a great calling, I had a lot of support from the ward but I was terrified that I would have to be in charge of a funeral. Luckily, I didn't have to!! I am now an Activity Day leader with Ashlyn!! We took the kids to the Mesa visiting center on Wednesday and the kids watched a couple of videos, I missed out because little Miss Abby couldn't sit still, so we toured the visitors center on our own.
I found these pics from Ricks phone from our beach trip....Ricks mom chilling in the tent.
Brother in law Mike with his son Kody.
Kody boy has the cutest mop of hair!
Haley with her cousin Kaylee, getting ready to boogie board.
Ashlyn and Jacob ready to boogie.

Looking for hermit crabs.
Ricks dad checking out all of the fun.
Rick took this on a walk that he took the kids on, so I could get ready.

We had our annual Halloween Ward carnival last night. It was lots of fun, we invited our neighbors who have a little boy just a few weeks older than Abby. Here's Ashlyn as a cute bee, Jacob as a pirate and Abby as a little dr. Cutest little doc! Haley was too cool to dress up this year.

We added our final accessories and took more pics:)

Ashlyn and Jacob on the train...

They had the cutest photo booth...

Haley was nice enough to take Abby for her first train ride, she loved it!
Here's my friend and I, she's so cute. Her husband has the same job as Rick but he works for the University of Phoenix, so they have lots to talk about.
Haley took her little boy for a ride on the train as well..

Jacobs EPIC school pic.....do you LOVE IT!!!????

Weekly Update

Abby has a thing against wearing shoes. She hates it! She will scream the whole time that we are putting the shoes on her, like we are torturing her. She is like her momma and likes to have feet bare. She is a stinker! Since she is walking everywhere now, we are working on her wearing shoes. Well, last Sunday was the first time that we were able to keep her shoes on for about 20 minutes!! Record!! Here she is walking in her white sandals, she hates walking in shoes, so Rick was holding her hand with Haley. She seemed to be ok with walking in shoes if someone was holding her hand.
Haley came home from school saying that she was Student of the Month! Pretty high honor! We are happy that she is doing so well in her first year of Middle School. She always comes home with funny stories about her teachers. She is a teachers pet in her English class, the teacher always awards her with candy. Reminds me of me in my first year of middle school, Mr. Kashiwamura would always reward Amy Black and I for being good in class. He would also take us out for pizza and ice cream in Oakland! Fun times! She must take after her mom:)

I took the kids for a walk this morning and they wanted a picture on the bar. Abby is becoming more interested in the park which makes it fun, she likes the swings and to climb up to the slide. We are loving the cooler weather!

Weekly Update

Last Sunday I gave Ashlyn a cute little haircut. I love it!

Jacob painted a Tiger Shark at school.
We had October Break this week, so the kids had no school. We spent the first half of the week playing around the house, going to the park and getting ready for our trip to L.A. We left on Thursday and checked into our hotel right on the marina in Dana Point. The kids were fascinated with the snails that they found.

After we arrived the kids and Rick went and found the beach while I took Abby to the pool. We then all got ready to go to the reception for Ricks cousin. He got married on the beach, but we weren't invited to the wedding, I guess they had to pay per person?? Anyway, Ricks sister Kristy and brother Rob were both in the wedding. Here's his sister Kristy, looking pretty! You can see Rob in the background.

On Friday we woke up and walked across the marina to a little kayaking rental place. We rented one kayak but the guy actually let us use two, so Haley and her cousin Kaylee took one out and Rick went out the Jacob and swapped Ashlyn and Jacob for rides. I swapped Rick for a few minutes and took a turn too. It was fun!

Abby and I then went to go take a nap, but instead she decided to dump Cheez-It's all over the bed, at least she managed to munch on a couple! haha!

We left on Saturday morning, it was short trip but lots of fun!
Getting a quick foot soak before we left.

Today we made our annual Pumpkin man, but we decided to change him into a pumpkin Lady this year. Abby is scared of the pumpkin lady but the kids love her!
